How it all started...
Christian Ministries Church in Hot Springs, Arkansas, was founded in 1972 by Don and Hettie Lue Brooks as a non-denominational, Spirit-filled church committed to equipping believers to live out their faith and apply the truth of God’s Word in practical, everyday life. Built on a foundation of biblical teaching, worship, discipleship, and meaningful community impact, the church has remained committed to helping people grow in their relationship with Jesus and become authentic followers of Christ.
Today, under the leadership of their son, Tim Brooks, and his wife, Terri, Christian Ministries Church continues its mission of raising up believers who are doers of the Word. Over the years, that vision has extended beyond Hot Springs, leading to the launch of a Southwest Missouri campus in 2004 and a Houston, Texas campus in 2016. What began as a local church in Hot Springs continues to impact generations of people by equipping them to know God’s Word, live it faithfully, and make a difference wherever God has placed them.

Christian Ministries Academy
Christian Ministries Academy (CMA) is the Christian school ministry of Christian Ministries Church in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Established in 1980, CMA was created to provide a biblically grounded education that equips students academically, spiritually, and in character, preparing them to become leaders in their communities and the world. CMA serves students from Kindergarten Development (KD) through 12th grade, combining academic excellence with spiritual growth, leadership development, and practical life skills—all taught from a biblical worldview. The school graduated its first class in 1982 and has continued to equip generations of young people to think biblically, live faithfully, and impact their world for Christ.
Applied Life Leaders Academy
Applied Life Leaders Academy is a ministry of Christian Ministries Church in Hot Springs, Arkansas, dedicated to equipping the next generation of Christian leaders with the character, conviction, and practical skills needed to live out God’s call on their lives. For over 40 years, Leaders Academy has provided young adults with a transformational environment that combines biblical teaching, hands-on leadership training, personal mentoring, practical life skills, and real-world responsibility.
Leaders Academy is a nine-month Christian discipleship and leadership internship for young adults ages 18–25. Our mission is simple: to develop disciples who think biblically, lead confidently, serve faithfully, and live intentionally. Through a unique blend of biblical worldview training, classroom instruction, hands-on ministry experience, service opportunities, spiritual growth, and community life, interns learn not just what to believe—but how to live it.
Leaders Academy is more than a nine-month program. It’s a launching pad, a training ground, and a community of believers committed to helping young adults grow in their relationship with Jesus and step into their God-given purpose with maturity, humility, and boldness.
