How it all started...
Christian Ministries Church in Hot Springs, Arkansas was founded in 1972 by Don and Hettie Lue Brooks as a non-denominational, Spirit-filled church dedicated to equipping believers to live out their faith and apply the Gospel in practical, everyday ways. Built on a foundation of teaching, worship, and meaningful community impact, the church has always emphasized helping people grow in their walk with Christ.
Today, under the leadership of their son Tim Brooks and his wife Terri, CM Church continues its mission of raising up believers who are doers of the Word. Over the years, the church’s vision has expanded beyond Hot Springs, leading to the launch of a Southwest Missouri campus in 2004 and a Houston, Texas campus in 2016.

Christian Ministries Academy
Christian Ministries Academy (CMA) is the Christian school ministry started by Christian Ministries Church in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Established in 1980, the academy was created to provide a biblically grounded education that equips students spiritually, academically, and in character, helping them become leaders in their communities and the world. CMA serves students from Kindergarten through 12th grade, blending challenging academics with spiritual growth, leadership training, and life skills—all taught from a Biblical worldview. The school graduated its first class in 1982 and has since continued to nurture young people to think deeply, live faithfully, and impact their culture for Christ.
Applied Life Leaders Academy
Applied Life Leaders Academy is a ministry of Christian Ministries Church dedicated to equipping the next generation of Christian leaders with the character, conviction, and practical skills needed to live out God’s call on their lives. For over 40 years, Leaders Academy has provided young adults with a transformational environment that combines biblical teaching, hands-on leadership training, personal mentoring, and real-world responsibility.
Our mission is simple: to develop disciples who think biblically, lead confidently, serve faithfully, and live intentionally. Through a unique blend of classroom instruction, service opportunities, spiritual growth, and community life, students learn not just what to believe—but how to live it.
Leaders Academy is more than a 9 month program. It’s a launching pad, a training ground, and a family of believers committed to seeing young adults step into their God-given purpose with maturity, humility, and boldness.
